About
I'm NLV, a photographer and cinematographer on the Illawarra coast, south of Sydney.
Most of my own work happens before sunrise, with a drone over the breaks, reefs and inlets of Australia's east coast, waiting for the light and the swell to line up. Lately the photography has been feeding a second practice: mixed media portraits, collage and motion pieces.
I started New Light Visuals in 2018, after twenty-odd years in publishing, media and advertising, art directing at titles including TNT Magazine, Mumbrella and NewsCorp. I still shoot film and photography for clients.
